Additional Mathematics Courseware Integrated Teaching and Learning Module

Dear Teachers & Friends,

Here I would like to share with you the Additional Mathematics Courseware Integrated Teaching and Learning Module. This module is prepared for teachers to incorporate Additional Mathematics Teaching Courseware provided by the Ministry of Education Malaysia.

The module consists of all the topics in Form 4 and Form 5 Additional Mathematics Syllabus. It incorporates the teaching courseware, text book, reference book and the SPM Past Year Questions. It is convenient to use as hands-on notes in the teaching and learning process to help the students to understand the concepts and master the skills in each topic.
The Additional Mathematics teaching courseware is well equipped with variety of functions, animation, video clips, sound and many features that are able to draw attention and interest of students in learning.

The attached PowerPoint presentation ‘Enhancing Conceptual Understanding of Integration Using a Multimedia Teaching Courseware’ introduces the features and benefits of using the teaching courseware. To view the Flash movies in the PowerPoint presentations, you may download the Swiff Point Player at http://www.globfx.com/.
Swiff Point Player is a Microsoft PowerPoint Add In that enables you to insert and play your Flash movies into your PowerPoint presentations:

How to insert a Flash movie in a PowerPoint presentation?
1. Launch Microsoft PowerPoint
2. Form the Insert menu on the main toolbar, select item Flash movie…
3. From the standard Open dialog box, browse your computer to select the desired Flash movie (file extension *.SWF)
4. Once inserted, scale and place the Flash movie within the slide.
5. Launch the presentation (shortcut key: F5).

• Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000/XP
• Microsoft PowerPoint 2000/XP/2003
• Pentium 233 MHz or higher
• 32 MB RAM
• 4 MB of free disk space
• Macromedia Flash Player installed

How to uninstall Swiff Point Player?
1. Form the Windows Start menu, Select Programs > Swiff Point Player
2. Select Uninstall Swiff Point Player

Good News for All.
Malaysia will be organizing an International Conference in Mathematics and Technology (ATCM) in Kuala Lumpur this year.
Here are some information regarding ATCM 2010:
The ATCM 2010 is an international conference that addresses technology-based issues in all Mathematical Sciences. Thanks to advanced technological tools such as computer algebra systems (CAS), interactive and dynamic geometry, and hand-held devices, the effectiveness of our teaching and learning, and the horizon of our research in mathematics and its applications continue to grow rapidly. The aim of this conference is to provide a forum for educators, researchers, teachers and experts in exchanging information regarding enhancing technology to enrich mathematics learning, teaching and research at all levels. There will be over 400 participants coming from over 30 countries around the world.
